Chat rooms: Here today, gone tomorrow

I noticed that a chat room was created a week or so ago, but there was never a link to it from the website.  I guess you just had to be there on the day it was launched.  Now it seems I can't find it again.

My queries are these: If the chat rooms still exist, where are they?  Could you create a link from the homepage and/or the forums so users can find them easily?  If there was some technical glitch discovered after the launch that necessitated the rooms being taken down, is there a timeline on when we might see them again?
