During its run, I was a rabid Xena fan. Every week I would wait for any small hint of subtext...a look, a word, anything that said Gabrielle and Xena were more than friends. Little did I know, that during the same time period, a British television show was taking lesbian subtext and turning it into maintext RIGHT THERE ON THE SCREEN. Now that we Americans have a chance to watch Bad Girls, there is no going back for "crumbs."
The Xenaverse has literally thousands of fan fic stories. It's time Bad Girls did too! I've only found a handful of quality stories (apparently, few people in BGLand have heard of a beta reader). GL Dartt is GREAT, but there are only 4 BG stories on her site.
I've written some Xena fan fic myself, and now plan on finishing an uber story I'd started for the Xenaverse and swapping it to BGLand. So I challenge any and all fan fic writers to start with the BG stories already! I'd even be willing to post stories on my own web site (most of the other FF sites for BG are in the UK). If anyone is interested, I'll post a link and we'll get started.

Be aware that most of the Bad Girls sites are run by the same group of people, who have been communicating with each other online for years. They only tolerate outsiders who display unswerving loyalty to the mindset of the group.

I can only imagine what happened with you on their MBs, ‘cause I’ve seen your shining intellect, stunning wordplay, and third-grade social skills on display here several times now. ...back to my original point. Now that BG has crossed to American shores, it's time that little world gets expanded a bit. I enjoy the existing sites. Nuttin' wrong with 'em that I can see. But I think a show as groundbreaking (oh, and, uh, HOT) as this deserves a bit more, yeah? I was going to set up a NEW site IF anyone was interested in posting FF to it. Not gonna do it tho if I'm a lone voice in the wind.

Ok so I dont check the thread for a few days and I come back to a show down. Zee's my girl and has posted nicely on my other thread. And always has something witty to say which is always entertaining. As far this cult like status of the Bad Girls Fic writers goes I'm kind of like huh? I've probably been to every bad girls website. Well those that deal with Nikki and Hellen. I can honestly say I've been only met with respect. We all have are take on things, and lets not forget. We do have something in common we all love bad girls, we all love Nikki and Helen and of course we all love afterellen.com

Fan Fiction
Ive been a fan fiction writer for years now, starting with Babylon 5 and then moving onto Bad Girls in 2001. I was at one point completely obsessed with writing stories about Helen and Nikki... I wrote under the name MJNET or shanialuva mostly.
Oh and one of the best H and N writers out there at that time was CBG aka CanadaBadGirl. She just caught those characters perfectly and her fiction left you on the edge of your seat.
Ive been out of it for a while and aren't sure who the best writers are these days. Any suggestions what i should go and read?

I'll preface this by saying that I can't stand most fan fiction. Maybe I'm too old or something, but the "uber" pieces and the stuff with badly written explicit sex drives me nuts. That said, I give all fan fiction writers credit for having way more guts than I do.
Now, to the matter at hand. I'm sure this is a familiar refrain to most of you, but unfortunately, I've become rather obsessed with Bad Girls in the last month (to the point where I have just purchased an All Region DVD player and the UK DVDs -- like many who have gone before). Anyway, this obsession has led me to search out something that might give me an additional Helen and Nikki fix, but it had to be something that really captured the essence of the characters. I found that something in kind of a roundabout way after following a link from TwoP. The story is a short one called "Liberties" by BG3655. She (I'm assuming here) gets it just right. Now I know what happened right after the "to be continued" scene!

BG3655 also did a nice little take on the letters that must have been written during that 3 show stretch in season 2 before Helen got her second job at Larkhall. The link is below. Her versions of the letters are about 10 or 12 posts down from the beginning.

And so you don't think I'm too picky, I also recommend the "Alphabet Soup" series and "Small Gifts" by Coolbyrne on www.ralst.com. There was a little sex mixed in the soup, but it was tastefully done!
What Now
So I've done it ladies I have started my own bad girls fan fiction! Its a post season 3 story thats been slamming around in my head. I posted on the Bad Girls Enhanced board and they have treated soooo kindly. For whatever reason there has been seems to be issues with amongst the ranks of Nikki and Helen fans. I myself havent had this problem anywhere and trust me ladies I'm pretty much every where that has anything to do with our fine ladies. I know this we all have our favs we are all different. But we all have one thing in common we love Nikki and Helen! Anyways check out my fic its a slow start and I've been sick so I havent been writing but its up on Bad Girls Enhanced and its called What Now. Let me know what you think.
