i never liked the relationship with kima cheryl. i always felt like cheryl was trying to change kima into her ideal of a good woman, instead of accepting kima as she was or just moving on to whatever inflated ideal she had. kima went along with the flow for a good little while, but eventually her own personality and needs balked and she stayed true to herself. you notice how after kima and cheryl split, cherly wound up with the exact woman she was trying to turn kima into.
cheating is wrong but, i say cheryl did bring it on herself just a little bit. and i never could stay mad at kima long... she's just too fly! lol
and why did AE stop recapping and/or vlogging about The Wire? especially since they just wrapped up the 5th and final season (or are they still airing new episodes for the 5th season?) either way this show has ended or is ending and AE could have devoted a little more time to the series and its lesbian characters. (gotta love snoop! lol)
Kima's become like her job partner McNulty: another philandering undercover cop. She really didn't want to be a parent like her girlfriend Cheryl, but only agreed to it to make Cheryl happy. And Cheryl really wanted Kima to give up police work (especially after she got shot and nearly died) and go to law school. So Kima's running away from her problems at home by running to some action on the side.
I wonder (if there is a 4th season) how the Cheryl/Kima/Other woman triangle will play out. Probably like all the other storylines on "The Wire": slow and painfully messy.
you know...
