There’s a lot of hype over the upcoming film Black Swan for a number of reasons. First, it’s being helmed by The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky. Second, it stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. And third, the two stars are intended to have pretty hot on-screen sex.
At least, if the film follows the current script.
According to the blog ScriptShadow, the way the Black Swan script is currently, the scene would involve “…not just nice sweet innocent sex either. We’re talking ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex.”
Sounds hot, sure, but also pretty bold for these actresses. It’s good to know who in Hollywood is not afraid to go all out for a role. But, remember all the talk about Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz‘s “sex scenes” in Vicky Cristina Barcelona? How disappointing.
While filming hasn’t even begun for this psychological thriller, in which Portman and Kunis play rival ballerinas, Aronofsky has been involved with it since 2007. Since The Wrestler (which featured Evan Rachel Wood as a lesbian) was so successful, it’s finally been given the green light.
So, lesson for filmmakers everywhere: Include some girl-on-girl action in your films. Apparently, it gives your film just enough publicity to get people interested. Next year, we’ll see if the actual story lives up to all the attention its getting.
What do you think of a Portman-Kunis hook-up? Is that, or the whole “rival ballerina” thing enough to get you to see Aronofsky’s newest project?
