A bunch of lesbian-ish flicks are making their way onto DVD this week, and I would be remiss if I didn’t point them out to you:
Babel — Check out the gorgeous Cate Blanchett and the possibly more gorgeous Mrs. Angelina Jolie in international hot water in this Oscar-nominated potential downer! For Your Consideration — Parker Posey plays an actress playing a lesbian in this Christopher Guest film. If that’s not enough for you (or if it’s too much of a stretch), the movie also features Jane Lynch. That’s really all you need to know. Jane rocks! The Prestige — Piper Perabo (Imagine Me & You, Lost and Delirious) makes this Hugh Jackman/Christian Bale magician showdown even prettier.
Shut Up and Sing — This awesome documentary follows the Dixie Chicks as they deal with the incredibly hostile fallout from the country music scene after Natalie Maines‘ anti-war statements in 2003. If you read this blog regularly, you know how much we love them.
