You have the right to remain hot and scantily clothed

Michelle Rodriguez began shooting her new film The Battle in Seattle with co-stars Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson and Ray Liotta a few weeks ago. The 10 million dollar indie film, which examines the 1999 riot that exploded when thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in protest against the World Trade Organization, is due out in 2007.

Michelle plays the role of Lou, a demonstrator who gets arrested during the five day melee.

In the upcoming film issue of a German magazine called Zoo, Michelle briefly discusses her interest in the project, “Whether you’re in Iraq or right here in Burbank, you see a lot of greedy people after money. But it’s good that someone’s taking a stand in a film like this.”

It looks like she’s auditioning for an updated, all-girl version of the Village People. Now there’s an idea. Jackie Warner as the construction worker, anyone?
