In case you needed another reason to look forward to summer, we just got word that the world is going to be blessed with a new Kate McKinnon movie! And because she’s one of the funniest actresses we know, not to mention one of our all time favorite lesbians, we had to share this info with you immediately! Rough Night is coming to a theater near you in June, and while we were not allowed to post the red band trailer (they say lots of bad words and there’s a dead guy in it) we think this one looks like a must-see.
Oh, and the movie also has these other actresses in it, who are not Kate McKinnon:
Scarlett Johansson, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz. There’s a dude in the movie too, but really who cares.
Here’s the synopsis from the press release:
In Rough Night, an edgy R-rated comedy, five best friends from college (played by Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz) reunite 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. Their hard partying takes a hilariously dark turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper. Amidst the craziness of trying to cover it up, they’re ultimately brought closer together when it matters most.
But what matters most is obviously KATE.
We call this “resting Kate face.”
Directed by Lucia Aniello, and written by Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs. Columbia Pictures is slated to release the film June 16, 2017.
