Here’s some excellent news on this February afternoon. Just in time for Mother’s Day, we will get a new hilarious new flick with a lesbian co-star. Snatched will be released by Twentieth Century Fox on May 12, and co-stars Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn, and wait for it…..
That’s right. We are getting a movie that is sure to make us laugh, is going to give us something to do with our moms (or mom stand-ins) and stars three strong we admire. All that and a bag of Wanda Sykes (who we really cannot get enough of because we have good taste).
Here’s the plot summary according to the press release the film studio gave us:
After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter – in unpredictable, hilarious fashion – is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.
