Mary Agnes Donoghue on the inspiration for “Jenny’s Wedding”

on

Mary Agnes Donoghue has written several great films about women, from Beaches to White Oleander to Veronica Guerin. Her latest work is as both the writer and director of Jenny’s Wedding, is one she tells us was inspired by a family member, and how she feels lesbian leading roles are just as worthy of the big screen as those for straight women.

Jenny’s Wedding opens in select theaters this Friday, July 31 and available on VOD Saturday, August 1.
