It feels like forever since we first heard about the Ellen Page–led film Freeheld, so it’s particularly exciting to see the film’s first official trailer. Buzzfeed broke the news with the first look, and we can’t wait to see Page, Julianne Moore and this amazing cast in this much anticipated film based on a true story of a real life New Jersey couple, Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree. Hester, who had terminal lung cancer, fought to have her police pension granted to her domestic partner Andree, and won.
Freeheld is due to be released on October 2nd of this year.
