Morning Brew – Wednesday, November 3: Sneak peek of Portia on “Ellen,” same-sex Israeli dancing couple does the cha-cha-cha

Good morning! Last night was kind of a good news/bad news night — a lot of anti-gay people got into office, but then again, we also got a few actual gays in some seats. Depending on where you live, you could be celebrating. Either way, thanks for voting.

Portia DeGeneres will be on her wife’s show tomorrow, and E! Online has a clip.

Doesn’t it make you wish they hosted their own version of Regis & Kelly: Portia & Ellen? I’d watch! Shoot, I watch The Talk everyday in hopes of Sara Gilbert talking.

Eden Riegel is pregs! Her hubs Andrew Miller is working on a new series for the CW based on The Secret Circle, young adult novels about witches in New England. Eden, hook your man up with some know-how on how to get every lesbian to watch your show.

Israel’s Dancing with the Stars kicked off last night with the first ever same-sex pairing. Lesbian Gili Shem Tov and her dance partner Dorit Milman performed a a cha-cha-cha and two of three judges enjoyed the performance. We’ll find out next week how they did!

NextMovie tracked down the founder of F–k Yeah Krisbians to find out the scoop on girls that would go gay for Kristen Stewart. The 17-year-old Alexa told Next:

I see Kristen being Kristen and all the sudden, I feel so lesbian. Then I look at some other girl and well… it just doesn’t happen. I consider myself as bisexual because honestly, I would do a girl, but you get the point.

If you’re a fan of the actress, you’ll love the Krisbian Tumblr — even if you’re a lesbian the other 99 percent of the time.

Out magazine has some ideas on who Christina Aguilera should go for if she’s truly into women. I can get into some of them, like Michelle Rodriguez. But Betty White?

The Tidewater News of Franklin, Virginia has a front-page feature on two sisters — one gay and one straight. It’s called “Sisters United” and discusses how Hannah and Grace Kreider have started a GSA at their school.

How I Met Your Mother‘s Cobie Smulders is on the cover of Maxim this month, and inside, she says she’d like to have a lesbian relationship on the show.

That’s all we know so far, so yes, I will actually be reading this one for the interview. Plus, she did so well playing gay on The L Word.

All through November, In the Life will air parts of the documentary Gen Silent, a film about elderly members of the LGBT community and their struggles to find proper places to live and healthcare specific to their needs.

You can watch the entire piece on ITLmedia.org.
