Morning, Brewbies! Trish Bendix is out on the Oregon Trail with her new wife, so you’re stuck with me for the rest of the week, and you know what that means: Fire-breathing lesbians! The hilarious folks at Next Media Animation have shaken down last week’s NY marriage equality bill to a 90-second video.

The lovely ladies at onemorelesbian.com have a sneak peek and quick synopsis of the new queer festival flick Jamie and Jessie Are Not Together. The film is about “two queer girls whose codependent, loyal friendship is fraught with erotic tension. As they struggle with the gray areas of love and lust, Jamie and Jessie must figure out either how to grow together or how to grow apart.”
Did you enjoy the Starz Pillars of the Earth mini-series? It was even weirder than Ken Follet‘s book, huh? Well, yesterday Starz announced that they’ve acquired the rights to Follet’s follow-up novel, World Without End, and the villain(ish) of the eight-part mini is going to be Cynthia Nixon. Nixon will play the cunning Petranilla. The story is about a plague that wipes out a third of Europe’s population. Unfortunately – SPOILER ALERT – Nixon’s character dies in the first round of pox.

Lesbi-comic Judy Gold interviewed with The Village Voice recently about her new act “The Judy Show-My Life As A Sitcom,” and, like so many of us, she wants to see the lesbian version of Modern Family.
[When I was growing up] I thought I was going to be Rhoda and I’d have my own sitcom. I became a comic, and starting in about 1999, I started pitching my life as a sitcom. For some reason, they rejected me. I want to get a gay family on TV. People could watch the socially relevant sitcom and forget the family’s gay.

Party Down writer/creator Rob Thomas attended a Q&A at the Alamo Draft House over the weekend, and he wants you to get your hopes up about the fabled Party Down movie.
People are talking to us about doing a Party Down movie. We are pretty far down the deal-making process with that, so we’re hopeful that there will be a Party Down movie. Ideally, if it works out we could be shooting in television hiatus time next spring. Hopefully that deal will close, and we’ll all tweet about it when it does.
