Morning Brew: Wednesday, June 2

Hi guys!

Jillian Michaels told PopEater.com what’s on her workout playlist and it includes Florence and the Machine, “lots of Jay-Z, Hey Monday, of course Lady Gaga. [There's also] T.I., Mary J. Blige, a little bit of Wale, a little bit of Your Vegas and a little bit of the Sounds.” Sounds like a great mix. Now you can put it on your iPod and pretend you really are losing it with Jillian.

Have you ever wanted to hear Kelly Clarkson singing Tracy Chapman‘s ultimate lesbian ditty, “Fast Car”? She’s heard your prayers. Oh yeah, Chris Daughtry was there, too.

Look — a new True Blood trailer! It has Queen Sophie-Ann and Pam definitely making out with a woman. Also, Anna Paquin half-nude.

Is it June 13 yet?

In a new book called Toys Gone Wild, Mr. Potato Head goes camping with his family and “his overweight, lesbian secretary.” I’m not making this up. No word on if she hooks up with a Barbie.

Speaking of lesbian book tidbits, the hilarious Samantha Bee has released I Know I Am, But What Are You? where she muses things that have happened in her life, including “the creepiness that ensues when strangers assume that your mom is your lesbian lover.” I would advocate reading this book, but not just to find out who mistook Samantha and her mom for girlfriends.

Check out the trailer for the new film A Marine Story starring Dreya Weber (The Gymnast). It premieres at Frameline this month.

Orlando is being re-released in theaters at the end of July. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s based on the Virginia Woolf novel about a man who turns into a woman. It’s lauded as one of the classic lesbian-esque novels, and Tilda Swinton plays the title role in the film.

Did you catch the first episode of Girl/Girl Scene yet? I think you’ll find it quite enjoyable.

And don’t forget to set your TiVo for Showtime’s Pride: Gay and Lesbian Comedy Slam tonight, featuring Sandra Valls and Poppy Champlin. It airs at 9 p.m.

And yes, we know Jane Lynch got hitched. We’ve got a whole post about it coming your way!

See you later!
