As you may have noticed, we’ve had some tech troubles lately after a site upgrade. Thanks for bearing with us while we try not to cry into our coffees. For that, I present you with two day’s worth of brew.
Lea Seydoux is a hot new French star on the rise. You might have seen her in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol or Midnight in Paris. But now she’s going to star in something you’ll definitely want to see! Lea has been cast in Blue is a Hot Color, in which she plays “a teenage girl who unexpectedly falls in love with another woman and faces her parents’ and friends’ judgment.
Adèle Exarchopoulos will play the other woman and I need to get my hands on the graphic novel by Julie Maroh (on which it’s based) immediately.
Web series B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye will return for a third season on Tuesday, March 6. Take a gander and what’s in store for Fletch, George and Jenna this year.
Tennis great Martina Navratilova has joined the cast of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Her partner will be Tony Dovolani and I am a little nervous that the judges will constantly tell her to femme it up as they did mercilessly with Hope Solo last season. Season 14 of DWTS will premiere on March 19 and we’ll definitely be recapping that business.
Ellen DeGeneres will be producing Bethenny Frankel‘s new talk show this summer. Watch the women announce the project during Ellen’s show this week.
Admittedly, I’ve never watched any of Bethenny’s shows but I have had a Skinnygirl Margarita or three. Maybe I’ll tune in to see what she’s cooking up with Ellen.
Katy Perry is getting some home cooking lessons from Cat Cora. The pop singer bid $50,000 during Elton John’s 20th Annual AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party to have the lesbian chef teach her some skills.
Ladyhawke fans, check out this new virtual reality app that she’s releasing in conjunction with her new album, Anxiety. Then you could say you have Ladyhawke in your phone.
Rosie O’Donnell has announced a few upcoming guests on her The Rosie Show, including Lily Tomlin and Melissa Etheridge. I’ll be tuning in for those two, for sure!
Aurora Guerrero is the out director behind Mosquita y Mari, a teen lesbian love story, and you might have seen her in a Bing commercial during the Oscars. In case you missed it:
The Daily Caller put together all of the clips that have Rachel Maddow saying the word “vaginal.” These are three minutes of your life that will not be wasted.
Santigold dresses in drag on the cover of her new album, Master of Make-Believe. I’m loving her many looks.
Out musician Sarah Jaffe talked about her upcoming album over at ElleGirl. I still play her Suburban Nature all the time.
While we’re on the music tip, Tegan and Sara have released a new video blog called “Carpool Confessions.” Is this going to go the way of Taxicab Confessions? Those could be a little racy.
Speaking of T&S, check out some behind-the-scenes studio photos of them taken by Lindsey Byrnes as posted in Rolling Stone.
In case you are wondering, Aubrey O’Day clears up her sexuality again, this time, via Twitter.

Meredith Baxter wrote about a time she auditioned and failed to get the part. An excerpt:
I thought I was a shoo-in because I really was a lesbian and wouldn’t just be playing one. I know we’re actors. And acting is what they hire us to do but I thought this could make me special. Not just a lesbian, but a lesbian cast as a lesbian. Shouldn’t that separate me from the pack?
I wonder what “popular comedy series” this was. In any case, she got the part of Lea Thompson‘s mom on Switched at Birth, so she’s doing alright for herself.
Over at RookieMag, Psalm One answers how a queer college girl can find a girlfriend. She talks about “hollering at chicks.” Love it.
I’m pretty sure Evan Rachel Wood was singing this to you in honor of AfterEllen.com coming back online. This is the actress doing Bob Dylan‘s “I’d Have You Any Time.”
And Nina Sky has a new video for “Day Dreaming.” Did you know you can still win our contest to see them at The Dinah?
