Morning Brew – Wednesday, April 13: Amanda Bearse to guest on “Drop Dead Diva,” Jennifer Nettles crushes on British women

Hi! Are you having your coffee with your Morning Brew? I am.

Remember when we told you Wanda Sykes will star on an episode of Drop Dead Diva and it will be based on the Constance McMillen lawsuit? The show has added on some more gays to join the party, including Clay Aiken, Lance Bass and Amanda Bearse. Amanda, I miss you! I’m glad Lifetime remembered you and invited you to prom.

Model and reality TV personality Adrienne Curry may be most famous for being married to Peter Brady, but she was always very vocal about her bisexuality on America’s Next Top Model and in the press.

She’s now joining a View-like talkshow on the Style Network. Her Barbara, Joy and Sherri are Vivica A. Fox, Nick Verreos and Ali Fedotowsky.

I know so many lesbians who want Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland to be a gay lady. Since I can’t give you that gift, I can only offer this comment she gave to South Florida Gay News:

There are so many wonderful women out there. As far as actresses go, I love Meryl Streep. … I love Judi Dench. I love Helen Mirren. I love these women, and I definitely do have big girl crushes on them. I’m trying to think as far as musicians go. I mean, what’s not to love about BeyoncĂ©?

Commence swooning now.

Rosie appeared at the Matrix Awards in New York this week, a ceremony which honors women in various communications fields. She presented her publicist Cindi Berger with an award, and told the crowd one piece of PR advice Cindi had given her:

Never get a lesbian haircut.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling she was being serious. Also, it’s obvious Rosie ignored her advice.

Has Buffy ever healed you? It helped one writer grieve after a friend died in a car accident — specifically the episode “The Body.” She writes:

As I watched that episode, I realized that no one has absolute control over her life, whether she’s a Slayer or a mild-mannered undergrad. Part of maturing from adolescence to adulthood, for both Buffy and me, was learning to accept this kind of cruel and unexpected loss.

Wetpaint TV has some inside scoop from Kristin Bauer on what’s happening with Pam this season on True Blood.

You will enjoy this hot award-winning video, Kidnapping. I just know it.

It’s Hump Day! Which means a new episode of McManusland. It’s getting rave reviews, as you can see in this teaser.

Meredith Baxter stopped by HLN’s Dr. Drew show to discuss coming out, being an alcoholic and all of the other things she writes about in Untied.
