Morning Brew – Tuesday, Oct. 4: Women as ’80s teen hearthrobs, Portia and Ellen put their house on the market

Good morning!

Lily Tomlin was on The Talk yesterday to chat about her role on NCIS. She also mentioned doing another one-woman show in the future, if she can ever get her partner Jane Wagner to start writing it.

I love Lily. She’s one of the nicest, funniest women alive.

Want to buy Ellen and Portia’s house? You can, if you have $49 million dollars. What a steal! Not to worry; they have another outside of L.A.

Evan Rachel Wood has an exciting new role coming up in a film called It Is What it Is. She told The Playlist:

[My character’s] a smart, artistic person. She’s a very witty, fun girl. She’s just kind of a normal 24-year-old, but she’s different than most girls in that she’s slightly tougher and she has really big dreams. I think it’s really hard for her to find a person that can match her in a weird way. She’s very strong-willed.

Sounds like a lot of Evan’s other roles. But she also told the site she’s excited that it’s a comedy, which will give her the opportunity to be funny for a change. She’d also love to play a superhero sometime. I’m seeing her as Batwoman, especially when she has her hair that fiery red from True Blood.

Did you say you wanted to watch The Real L Word‘s Romi Klinger walk around for two minutes while looking at the camera, then away from the camera, then at the camera again? You got it!

Oh, you didn’t? Sorry.

Amanda Seyfried told Glamour that there’s only two kinds of people in the world who do not want to date her latest co-star Justin Timberlake.

Only a lesbian or a straight man could resist the Trousersnake. Justin really is unique, but he has a difficult life. I mean, he can’t walk down the street anymore and that’s such a shame because freedom is everything.

So if they aren’t dating, does that mean she identifies as one of the two?

Actress Erin Sanders speaks out for Straight But Not Narrow. Yay!

New York band WOJCIK has released a video for their song “Russian Doll.” Creepy in a very cool way!

Artist Joy Scopa has a really cool photo exhibit at the Leslie-Lohman Gallery in NYC. It’s called Getting the Girl and juxtaposes women dressed as the famous studs of romantic films like Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club.
