If you watched The Facts of Life (which, of course, you did, if you were old enough to crush on Jo), you’ll remember Geri Jewell as Cousin Geri. She was the first person with a disability (Geri has cerebral palsy) to have a recurring role on television. According to BroadwayWorld.com, in her new memoir, I’m Walking As Straight As I Can, Geri discusses her experiences in Hollywood and her sexuality which, as you can probably tell from the title, isn’t so straight. (Thanks for the tip, Beth!) Beth Ditto walked the runaway as part of Paris Fashion Week yesterday. She strutted her stuff for Etam’s new line, belting a tune – barefoot. That’s a hot dress. Sold!
This video from No More Downlow features Faith Trimel, director of the lesbian-themed film, Family, which is about a group of lesbian friends who make a pact to come out to their families. On Oprah’s All Stars this week, a lesbian couple wanted some advice on if they should circumcise their newborn son. The best comment comes from All-Star Suze Orman, who says: “I’m not accustomed to holding a penis. I’ve never held one my whole life!” The whole segment was kind of hilarious. I hope the lesbian couple got something out of it!
