Morning Brew – Tuesday, January 25: Tasha Tilberg, Cathie Opie share their love stories, Geri Jewell comes out

Good morning!

If you watched The Facts of Life (which, of course, you did, if you were old enough to crush on Jo), you’ll remember Geri Jewell as Cousin Geri. She was the first person with a disability (Geri has cerebral palsy) to have a recurring role on television. According to BroadwayWorld.com, in her new memoir, I’m Walking As Straight As I Can, Geri discusses her experiences in Hollywood and her sexuality which, as you can probably tell from the title, isn’t so straight. (Thanks for the tip, Beth!)

Beth Ditto walked the runaway as part of Paris Fashion Week yesterday. She strutted her stuff for Etam’s new line, belting a tune — barefoot.

That’s a hot dress. Sold!

This video from No More Downlow features Faith Trimel, director of the lesbian-themed film, Family, which is about a group of lesbian friends who make a pact to come out to their families.

On Oprah’s All Stars this week, a lesbian couple wanted some advice on if they should circumcise their newborn son. The best comment comes from All-Star Suze Orman, who says: “I’m not accustomed to holding a penis. I’ve never held one my whole life!” The whole segment was kind of hilarious. I hope the lesbian couple got something out of it!

Out.com has a feature on 23 Love Stories, with profiles of LGBT couples. Here’s the female pairings:

Catherine Opie and Julie Burleigh (and children)

Jessica Rankin and Julie Mehretu (and children)

Edie (of Edie and Thea)

Tasha Tilberg and Laura Wilson

Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Mediatakeout.com isn’t the most credible of sites, but they are reporting that “Hollywood girl” (what is that? How does one become that?) Tajah Burton has penned a tell-all book and includes some details about a sexual relationship with Rihanna. If you want to read the alleged excerpt, head on over.

Ellen and Portia were watching the Packers and Bears game this weekend, and they were quite excited when B.J. Raji scored a touchdown. How do we know? Ellen filmed it all.

Out lesbian reality star/hairstylist Tabatha Coffey has a new gig, blogging for beauty site BellaSugar. So if you want a lesbian opinion, check in with Tabs.

Speaking of beauty, your nails look like they could use some GLEE.

You can get your hands on colors like “Slushied” and “Gleek Out” from Sephora in February.

Just to make you all a little more jealous we’re not at Sundance, here are some fun shots from the women of Pariah and Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same:

Remember when I told you about the cool new gay apparel company Revel & Riot? Maybe their new model will entice you to make a purchase.

Hint: It’s Tegan.

FYI, guys: Lindsay Lohan and ex Sam Ronson were both at the same party last night. What!? That’s right — you’ll never escape your ex-girlfriend, no matter how famous you are.
