Morning Brew – Tuesday, January 17: Evan Rachel Wood on picking up women, Piper Perabo and Lena Headey reunite

Good morning!

SheWired has a great interview with Finding Bigfoot‘s Ranae Holland, aka my new crush. Nerdy butch chick FTW! (Don’t tell Rachel Maddow.)

The Golden Globes are so two days ago, but I think you’ll want to share in these moments as caught on camera. First, Lena Headey and Piper Perabo reunited.

Sarah Paulson and her old Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip co-star Amanda Peet also were happy to see each other again.

Lastly, TVLine reports that Naya Rivera felt lightheaded in the restroom so paramedics were called in. Reps say she is “completely fine.” Phew.

Sam McGuinn of The Real World: San Diego was originally going to be on the Las Vegas season, but was too young. Can you imagine how different both seasons would have been? I mean, I would have had to have watched Las Vegas.

Suze Orman won’t ever vote Republican, she said on The View, because those candidates never support her being gay. She explains how this is both a social and financial decision. You go, girlfriend!

I’d like to congratulate Bernice King for finally being inclusive of the LGBT community in discussing her father’s efforts for equality. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for everyone, and that includes us.

Evan Rachel Wood says she feels sorry for guys, because she knows how hard it can be to pick up women.

I got to a place where I had to start picking up women, and I had to be the guy. And I feel awful for any guy that’s ever trying to pick me up — it’s super hard. Women are very complicated. I love women — I am one, I adore them — but we’re all nuts. We’re all crazy! But, I think it comes from love. It comes from a place of caring too much and doing too much, and it will drive you nuts. Guys and girls are equally nuts — it’s just two different kinds of crazy.

I love ERW. She’s like “want an opinion? I have so many!” I like that about her.

Amber Heard looked stunning at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala this week. What else is new?

Fans of Baby Soul + Yoo Jia are wondering if their new music video is about friendship or something more. Well, the song is called “She’s a Flirt,” but that’s about all I can tell for sure.
