Good morning! I hope all of you on the East Coast are staying safe!

I’d like to take a minute to wish my Gal Pal Emily a very happy 30th birthday! Because her birthday is the day before Halloween, she’s always gotten really into the holiday. We had a Halloween party at her house this year and went as Wayne and Garth from Wayne’s World. Schwing!

Just in case you want to remind yourself of celebrities who have come out, Radar has created a handy slideshow.

The Guardian has a great piece on the new popularity of queer literature in India. Out lesbian publisher Shobhna Kumar and editor Minal Hajratwala have just released a new anthology, Out! Stories from the New Queer India, too.

The New York Times has a profile of out Fox News pundit Sally Kohn. I love seeing a lesbian on Fox.

Ryan Murphy said that a scene they filmed for American Horror Story: Asylum is the “most disturbing” yet, and it stars Sarah Paulson and Zachary Quinto.

And it’s not violent, it’s psychological, but it is the scariest thing we’ve ever done. It’s Episode 4. Two weeks!

Halle Berry wants to play activist Angela Davis in a film, and I couldn’t approve more! She told In Style:

Her story is so fascinating. I would love to bring it to the screen. I would pick her brain to have a better understanding of her affiliation with the Black Panthers and that period from the 1960s.

Halle Berry, can’t you use some of that star power to get things going? I’ll set you up a Kickstarter.

If it’s as easy to write a novel as Emma Donoghue says it is, then I’ll have one done in no time! Lot’s of email checking and procrastination? I do that all the time!

Bisexual actress Olivia Thirlby is the face of designer Prabal Gurung‘s new line for Target. The collection comes out around Valentine’s Day.

This Dutch video from a GSA is super cute. The theme is “Everyone is Different.”

And then there’s Brendan James‘s new video for “Nothin But Love” with adorable couples of all kinds. I like the song, too.

A reader sent us this short film Mama Rainbow, which explores how parents of their LGBT Chinese children react when they realize they have a gay or lesbian son or daughter. It’s only 28 minutes, so watch if you have the time. (Thanks for the tip, Lin!)
