Morning Brew – Tues. May 29: Greta Gerwig would be a Lilith Fair lesbian, Jillian Michaels talks candidly about her family

Good morning! I hope you all had a nice long weekend. One thing I did was read this book:

I highly recommend it if you like: lesbians, music, lesbian sex, crazy girlfriends, crazy ex-girlfriends, and lists.

If you want to hear Jillian Michaels talk about how in the hell she and her gf ended up with two babies at the same time, then you’ll want to listen to her explain the situation herself.

There are some really cute pictures of the new family out and about at the LA Farmer’s Market if you want to see them, too.

Greta Gerwig said if she was ever going to be a lesbian, she knows exactly what decade she’d do it in.

Obviously 1992-1997. Sinead O’ Connor, Lilith Fair — that was a super good time to be lesbian, right? And Melissa Etheridge, baby doll dresses with combat boots — awesome!

Greta, the dream of the ’90s is alive in Portland! Come on over!

Julie Bindel penned a piece for The Guardian using Lip Service as an example of the kind of lesbians men like to see and how any other kind of gay gal is seen as man-hating.

The New York Times has a great story on a gay-friendly church in Harlem where black gay men and lesbians feel at home.

If you buy one new album today, might I suggest the debut from 2:54? Half of the sister duo (Hannah) is a queer lady. Here’s their new video for “Creeping.”
