Morning Brew – Tues. April 16: Ellen’s message to Boston, Jemima Kirke as a lesbian bride

Good morning!

I hope all of you in the Boston area are safe and doing OK after the tragic events yesterday. Ellen DeGeneres shared a message of support on her show today.

Jane Lynch doesn’t understand how some people are upset over the most recent episode of Glee.

We’re always rather topical and rather current on the show and I think it means a lot to Ryan Murphy that we comment on anything that, especially things, that affect kids. I’m glad he wrote the episode and it was shocking. I was really surprised about the feedback. A lot of people were upset about it.

I think “Ryan Murphy” probably had something like to do with it. He always does.

BuzzFeed uncovered a Lesbian PSA from 1934 and, basically, we’re coming after your vaginas.

F to 7th, The N&N Files and Kam Kardashian all made IndieWire’s list of female-centered web series to watch.

Last night on The Voice, out singer Karina Iglesias battled against Judith Hill on “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and lost. However, Shakira stole Karina and she will continue on in the competition! I think this pairing will be perfect.

The best thing that came from Tegan and Sara hosting Fuse’s 50 Girls Who Run the World is this video of outtakes. I like listening to hear them try to pronounce “Sherzinger.”
