Are you dying to see The Moth Diaries? I am — I love Mary Herron. The stars of the film were on the red carpet at TIFF and answered some questions about their new lesbian-tinged vampire flick.
ThoughtCatalog has helped you out by identifying the 7 Types of Lesbian You’ll Find at a Gay Bar. I am so this one: “The Constantly-Pegged-As-Straight Ultra-Femme,” right down to the Taco Bell.
Married life is good for them! We had so much going on towards the end of last year that this season is so laid back for us, Arizona and Callie are there, we’re doing things but there’s no main spotlight on them. Believe me, it will come again!
Well, boo. Drama drives the ratings, ya’ll, so we want a happy lesbian couple, we get one! They just aren’t doing much, it seems.
One day, I was thinking “Wouldn’t it be amazing to see Bridget McManus in a civil-war themed lesbian horror film?” And then it’s like she Sookied me and made it all come true. Here’s the trailer for Blood Fare.
I hope she survives!
My PR people should be on a steady supply of prescription medication. It’s lonely to stand up for what’s right. I am alone in Hollywood in many ways, and that’s scary. It’s better for my career if I stay quiet, but I’ve just never been that person. I didn’t get into this business so I could shut up.
Preach, sister friend.
Somebody tried to hit me with a car, it’s been insane. No, no one is ever mean to me. No one has ever said, “Hey what Santana said was rude,” but nobody has ever questioned me. Maybe they’re just afraid of me.
Probably, but Naya is nothing like Santana in real life — except for that whole being hot thing.
Deena and Snooki kiss each other/other girls a little too much on Jersey Shore. Even their roommates think something is going on between them — but they also think it’s totally awkward, because it is. This is on tonight’s episode. Get ready!
The ladies behind The Slope (aka my favorite web series) are hoping to make it into a TV show. I’m on board, guys. I will definitely watch. If you need some kind of lesbian extra at a Taco Bell scene, call me.
Back when Jennifer’s Body was coming out, there was tons of talk about the kiss between Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried. Sometimes Amanda would get asked about it and she’d roll her eyes like “Oh my god, guys, there is so much more to the movie!” But now she’s bringing it up years later while doing press for other films. She recently told a reporter:
I can’t believe nobody wanted to see Megan Fox and me hitting it. They had an extreme close-up of our tongues, and I’m telling you, the thing about the scene is that it’s actually really sexy. I think Megan and I kissed really well together. We have similar kissing styles and it worked. We got it done for the masses, and the masses still didn’t show up.
Probably because you can watch that scene on a million videos for free on the web, so why see the whole movie? Which I have, twice. But also, lesbian kissing does not a movie make. If you wanted people to see a film based on its sexy lesbian kissing, well, you could have made it a lot cheaper with a webcam and keywords HOT LESBIANS KISSING.
Guys, an Annie Lennox style retrospective is happening in the UK and she dishes on her connection with fashion over at the Stylist.co.uk. And she told them she doesn’t think Lady Gaga copped her style when she dressed in drag.
Gaga makes incredible art. She’s exceptional. The parallel was obvious, but whether she was copying me or somebody else doesn’t make any difference. Women have been wearing men’s clothes for centuries. It’s a powerful thing when a woman wears something less feminine. It’s saying; you must look at me slightly differently, I’m not just going to be a sexual object for you.
Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire kicks off Sept. 25, but they had a premiere in New York last night, and Aleska Pallandino looked gorgeous on the red carpet. She plays Angela, a woman married to a man (Michael Pitt), but who fell for a women last season. It remains to be seen what is going to happen this season, as her lover fled and Angela was left on her own to pick up the pieces.
