Morning Brew – Thursday, October 13: Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor kiss on “Charlie’s Angels,” the “Albert Nobbs” trailer

Good morning guys!

Anna Paquin is producing and starring in a new indie called Free Ride. She’ll play “an abused single mother in the 1970s who moves her two daughters to Florida to make a new life for herself.” Twilight‘s Cam Gigandet will play her love interest. Can’t wait to see Anna in some ’70s outfits!

Check out this clip from The Rum Diary featuring Amber Heard swimming and charming Johnny Depp.

There are also a few stills that have been released. I like when she’s dancing. She looks happier.

The trailer for Albert Nobbs is here! It looks so good.

I hope it has a happy ending.

Rashida Jones says she wants Dakota Fanning to star in the movie she’s writing because she’s “young and hot.” Good enough for me!

Congrats to out lesbian Janice Langbehn! She’ll be receiving the 2011 Presidential Citizens Medal for bringing attention to the fact her partner died alone in the hospital because Janice wasn’t allowed to be with her. The sad thing is this still happens all the time, but I’m glad Janice was able to get through to the President in her sad case.

If you’re watching Charlie’s Angels, then maybe you’ll feel this is a good enough reason to continue. Co-stars Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor make out in an upcoming episode. OK, if one of them goes gay, then I’ll watch. Maybe.

Meshell Ndegeocello recently performed live and spoke with KUT in Austin, Texas and you can listen to it all.

Brandi Carlile recording backing vocals for Jack’s Mannequin on the song “Restless Dream.” She’s not in the video but you can hear her singing in it.
