Actress Greta Gerwig stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night to promote her new film with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, No Strings Atttached.
Her interview was mostly about the odd jobs she worked while attending Barnard College in New York, and how she was part of a lesbian performance troupe. “I’m not a lesbian,” she told Dave, “But I love lesbians.” She proceeded to tell stories about going to bars and “messing” with people, like Laurence Fishburne — pretending to be a lesbian. It was kind of an odd story, but I’m sure Greta’s old improv pals have some fun stories about her and how “not lesbian” she is. Mhm!
Speaking of No Strings Attached, there is a small lesbian scene in the film, in which two women decide to have a threesome with Ashton’s character but decide they’d rather just have each other. Does that make you want to see it any more? Less? (Natalie Portman is not involved.)
Bloody-Disgusting.com ran a contest to see who readers would vote Hottest Babe of Horror. The winner: Eliza Dushku. No protest here!
If you weren’t aware, Eliza has been in several scary films, including Wrong Turn, The Alphabet Killer, Zoe and Open Graves.
Someone at RadarOnline.com just finished reading Portia de Rossi‘s book and decided the most interesting part about it was the fact her ex-husband left her for her brother’s wife. It’s true — they got married, too. Wherever they are now, I’m sure they’re wondering why they’re Google alerts are going wild today.
Entertainment Weekly is featuring a “special report” on gay teens on TV in their upcoming issue and — this just in — gay boys are more important/cover worthy than gay girls.
As cool as it is they are doing something on the exciting trend, it’s unfortunate they they seem to focus on one couple when the teen gay girls on TV right now are amazing, three-dimensional characters. The issue goes on sale Friday.
Betty Kitten Ross told The Daily Mail that her dad, TV presenter Jonathan Ross, wasn’t so easy to come out to. Betty said that she first told her parents she was bisexual, fearing they would be upset, but later told them the truth, that she is a lesbian. She was pleasantly surprised that they were “nothing but happy and accepting,” so she had worried for nothing. I wish that was the case for every young gay girl!
It appears that a list of 10 Best Topless Movie Stars has quite a crossover with lesbian-themed films. Salma Hayek in Frida is number one, while Elizabeth Berkley in Showgirls is number three, followed by Alyssa Milano in the racy lesbian scene in Embrace of the Vampire, Angelina Jolie in Gia and Denise Richards in Wild Things.
Out metal star Otep has penned an essay for Blurt and it’s all about “a debauched night of sex, drugs and handcuffed homophobia.” Give it a read!
Sad news! DC Comics has delayed the release of Batwoman #1 until April. So instead of next month, you’ll have to wait two more. Bummer!
Check out this new clip featuring Franky Fitzgerald from the new season of Skins.
And then there’s this picture, which I will make no comment on, other than to say the suit fits her nicely.
The young people I know talk about sexuality and not about sexual identity. They are what they are, at that moment. There’s a free-floating sexuality that is not even really labeled bisexuality. There’s just attraction and desire.
It’s also about the end of the world, so check out this very gay, very sci-fi film if you can.
