Morning Brew – Thursday, December 9: Fernanda Rocha says she’s the first gay “Real Housewife,” “DWTS” wants Lindsay Lohan

Morning all!

First point of business: We have a real gay housewife. Fernanda Rocha of The Real Housewives of Orange County has told The National Enquirer she isn’t bisexual, as previously reported. She is openly gay. She told the rag:

My dream is to be in Playboy. There has only been one other openly lesbian centerfold, and I would love to be the second.

Fernanda is the newest member of the RHOOC, and has signed on for two seasons. She spoke of the other “bisexual” housewives, Kim Zolciak and Danielle Staub, saying they were going through a “faux lesbian experimental stage” adding, “I’m the real thing.”

The sixth season of the show will premiere in 2011. I’m thinking Fernanda will get her Playboy dream come true, and probably caught on camera.

And, I know The Enquirer isn’t always reliable, but Fernanda Tweeted about the article herself, thanking fans for the comments and support.

Speaking of items from tabloids, RadarOnline is reporting that Lindsay Lohan is in talks to participate in Dancing With the Stars. However, there is no talk of her dancing with a female partner. When you’re bisexual, you are automatically paired with a man, apparently.

Glee fans, I’m sure you noticed that k.d. lang’s voice was featured on this week’s Christmas episode, but she was nowhere to be found. The Atlantic thinks she should have made a cameo, and the show should have hyped her appearance.

OMG, you guys — someone got into my brain and decided to draw how I feel about Black Swan.

A Marine Story is on pre-sale (to be released March 2011) and My Normal has been released and is on sale on DVD at Wolfe video. Christmas gift idea? A gift for yourself? One suggestion: Don’t buy My Normal for your homophobic mom.

Every year, The Hollywood Reporter talks with assumed Oscar contending actors and actresses in some fun-to-watch roundtables. Here’s this year’s offering featuring Helena Bonham Carter, Natalie Portman, Annette Bening, Nicole Kidman, Hilary Swank and Amy Adams. (How many of these women have been in girl-kissing/romancing situations on film? All but one, I believe.)

Where is Noomi Rapace? That’s my only complaint.

Jamie Lauren isn’t psyched on how she’s been portrayed so far on Top Chef: All Stars.

I thought she got the “hot” edit, but that’s just me.

Today on TV: The Ellen DeGeneres Show (check local listings), The Talk (CBS 2 p.m.), House Hunters (HGTV 7:30 p.m.), The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC 9 p.m. and midnight) and a lesbian re-run of Golden Girls (We 11 p.m.) (Thanks Roni!)

And a very happy birthday to our own Heather Hogan. May she always be older than me!

Also, listen to Mia Jones talking about a DVD she’s part of on the new episode of Feast of Fun. It’s all about complaining, which she’s really awesome at!

Till tomorrow!
