Good morning! It’s December 1, which means today is World AIDS Day. If you’d like to commemorate this day, I’d suggest watching We Were Here, a documentary about the epidemic in San Francisco that makes mention of all the help lesbians gave to their gay brothers during their time of need. Heartwrenching! And the film was just shortlisted for an Oscar.
If anyone else is a fan of American Horror Story, then you might have enjoyed seeing Moira the maid and The Black Dahlia (Mena Suvari) getting it on last night. Unfortunately, they were doing it to get Dylan McDermott to join them.
But Sarah Paulson was back and Ryan Murphy says we could see a spin-off or at least a webisode featuring her character and the Lifetime pilot she’s always mentioning. Yes please!
Yesterday on The Talk, Sara Gilbert discussed how much it sucks to be in the public eye. She mentions her recent outing (pun not intended) with new girlfriend Linda Perry and how she would have preferred to have looked nicer.

I went in prior to getting the Young Americans role, and it was great. I was really flattered and happy about how far I got. I didn’t have an agent and a friend in the film recommended me to the director. I went in a few times. I’m happy for the way the movie came out though. It was my first audition.
She also talks about her audition process for Shane:
Yeah, it was pretty cut and dry. The network was its own studio so it was all in one testing. I went in to read and that was that. Went back to New York. A week and a half later they called and said I got the part.
