Lesbian director Léa Pool (Lost and Delirious) is behind a new documentary about breast cancer culture called Pink Ribbons, Inc.. It explores where and how money donated to breast cancer goes — and where it doesn’t — and how actual breast cancer patients feel about those pink ribbons. The film opens in the U.S. tomorrow and Lea gave out some advice for aspiring female filmmakers:

No network is attached yet but Anne will serve as an executive producer alongside Anne Thomopoulos. I might need to read these eight novels immediately.
