Morning Brew – Thurs. May 2: Lindsay and Samantha’s romance in a new comic book, Wanda Sykes on if she’ll ever run for office

Good morning!

Out director Lisa Cholodenko is no longer directing the film adaptation of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Instead, she’ll be doing an adaptation of Elizabeth Strout’s Olive Kitteridge for HBO, starring Frances McDormand. It’s a little more adult than the other one would have been.

Out comedian Sandra Valls made Latina magazine’s list of Funny Badass Comedians With Latin Roots. The magazine writes: “While you might not want to watch her in front of the kids, there’s no doubting the fact that Sandra Valls is comedic gold. The Mexican comedienne’s take on sexuality in society makes for a perfect show!”

This just in: Fox News distorts a report about “lesbian role play” in a New York middle school. Shocking! (The Fox News part.)

Chicago is launching a National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame. The first inductees will be announced soon, and if Billie Jean King isn’t on that list, I will rage.

Would Wanda Sykes ever run for political office? “Hell, no! I’d piss a lot of people off! I wouldn’t play the game,” she told The Bay Area Reporter. That’s exactly why I want her to be a part of it. It appears she’d rather race cars.

The new Blue Water Comics Lindsay Lohan comic book includes this gem of a page:

I’m just going to preface this video by saying Lesbians and Legos.

Bisexual actress Megan Fox is number 17 and out singer Jessie J is number 68 on FHM‘s 100 Sexiest Women.
