Morning Brew – Thurs. June 27: “Franklin & Bash” has their lesbian kiss, Melissa McCarthy’s “The Heat” character “inspired by lesbians”

Good morning! Are you still celebrating yesterday’s amazing news? I definitely had a cocktail in celebration last night.

In case you missed it, Jane Seymour kissed Heather Locklear on last night’s season premiere of Franklin and Bash. Jane told The Wrap:

…at one point in the office I see Heather Locklear’s character, Rachel King, and I find out from a conversation over a glass of wine she hasn’t had sex in six years, so I just decide to kiss her and see if there’s any life in her.

You know, as you do sometimes. “Just making sure you’re still alive.”

Out lesbian Jean Podrasky wrote about her cousin Chief Justice John Roberts’s split decisions on DOMA and Prop 8 for The New Civil Rights Movement. She’s also in the process of planning her wedding.

This just in: Chris Brown’s other GF is a “lesbian.” I swear, gossip sites do not know that bisexuality exists.

Annie Potts has been cast as Stef’s mom on The Fosters. I can see the likeness! Meanwhile her dad will be played by 7th Heaven‘s Stephen Collins.

Sheetal Sheth will be starring on the new season of the web series LIPS. We know you think she’s hot so you’ll watch.

MTV’s new Rivals 2 will debut in July and out lesbian Aneesa is paired with cancer survivor Diem. They explain why they are “rivals” in this video.

The Real World: DC‘s out bisexual Emily Schromm is also on this season.
