First, another sad loss: The legendary and lovely Lauren Bacall. She played a lesbian in the film adaptation of out author Dorothy Baker’s Young Man With a Horn, though it was 1950 when it came out so it was, as one film historian noted, “thinly veiled.” May she rest in peace.
