Good morning, Brewbies! Welcome to Friday!
One of the biggest disappointments of TCA this week was the way NBC refused to acknowledge that there’s going to be a real problem at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in seven months if the international community doesn’t force Russia to check its homophobia in a major way.

Rachel has the expertise and the instincts to tell this full story to a viewing audience who are appalled by the treatment of their Russian brothers and sisters. Adding her to NBC’s coverage won’t fly in the face of the Olympic spirit, but rather enhance it, as there is nothing in the ethics or the history of the Olympic Games that can coexist peacefully with the war Russia is waging against her own citizens, and the rest of the world needs to know.
I signed the petition this morning.
Naya Rivera hosted Bud Light’s 50/50/1 Music First Festival last night, live from the Hollywood Palladium. She looked flawless, as always.
Apparently her boyfriend Big Sean raps about her in Drake‘s new song “All Me” talking about “My new girl is on Glee and shit / probably making more money than me and shit.” Probably bagging more chicks than you and shit too, dude.
Looking for an alternative to Kickstarter or Indiegogo? Well, look no further. Red Capes is the first lesbian-owned global crowdfunding site. Owners Wendy Robbins and Karen Paull chatted with HuffPo about what makes their platform so unique:
Red Capes is a power-to-the-people, paying-it-forward fundraising platform where a large group gives small donations in exchange for unique gifts, so everyone gets to be a superhero!
All My Children is set to wrap its first online season on September 2nd. Producers are already locked and loaded for season two, but before they get there, they’ve promised to answer many of season one’s Big Sudsy Questions. Can they also give Bianca a real girlfriend and let them do soap stuff together? That’s my Big Sudsy Question.
Janis Ian is teaming up with Dog Ear Audio to record an audio version Catherine M. Wilson’s “When Women Were Warriors, Book 1 — The Warrior’s Path.” They’re hoping to cover some of the costs of the project via their Kickstarter by August 16th.
Another really cool Kickstarter you might consider contributing to is Comics Undressed, a project that is very near and dear to my heart:
Sherri Saum and Teri Polo will be on Access Hollywood today to talk about their big lesbian wedding on the The Fosters season finale. If they make a video available, we’ll post it for you!
