Morning Brew – Monday, March 21: Tina Fey at the GLAAD Awards, trailer for Heather Matarazzo’s new movie

Morning! Let’s try to ease you into Monday.

Firstly, this exchange happened.

Still no response on Snooki’s end, but maybe she just gave Rihanna a call, as instructed.

The GLAAD Awards happened over the weekend and some of the lesbianish winners include Essence.com for featuring a lesbian couple in their “Bridal Bliss” section of the site and True Blood for Outstanding Drama Series. Tina Fey also showed up to receive an award on behalf of her show 30 Rock, which won “Outstanding Individual Episode (in a series without a regular LGBT character).”

While on stage with Bravo’s Andy Cohen, Tina was asked how she would come out of if she were a lesbian. Her response: “Halftime at the Super Bowl!”

Heather Mattarazzo stars alongside Jennifer Coolidge and John Waters is a new film called Mangus, and we finally have a trailer!

I am loving Heather as a trailer-livin’ lesbian in jeggings, platinum blonde hair and heels. She’s really showing her range.

Remember when we told you about out publisher Gloria Noto’s Work magazine? She recently talked with Opening Ceremony about the recent issue (with Tasha Tilberg on the cover) and said one of her favorite pieces was one that’s a little NSFW but you might enjoy anyway. Here’s what she had to say about it:

“Work Suit” — what’s cooler than creeper status hot girl with a dong in her pants?

Over at The Hairpin, a married lesbian discusses the pitfalls of being, well, a married lesbian. Among them: She’s mistaken as her wife’s sister all the time, her straight friends assume one of them have to be “the man,” and they have become “poster children” for a a perfect, loving gay marriage.

Look who is coming back to Vampire Diaries. It’s Jenny Isobel!

Mia Kirshner makes her return to the CW series when it comes back to our TV screens April 7. She was also at the Genie Awards recently as a presenter.

Ever wondered what happened to Ruthie, the lesbian from The Real World: Hawaii? Check out this podcast and you can hear what she’s been up to and what she thinks of the new season in Las Vegas.
