Good morning! I hope you all had a nice weekend.
Brandi Carlile shared a wedding photo with fans on her Facebook page, along with some details about their big day, including this tidbit:
It was truly one of our best days, completely awkward and human and beautiful. I’m married to my best friend and nothing has ever brought me more joy than that.
Singer Marsha Ambrosius is a gay advocate and went on her Facebook page to discuss lesbian rumors. She wrote:
Double standards! Any male artist can openly brag about how many groupies he gets! Can u imagine how many men AND women have come on to me??? Listen to my music! I tell it! Always! I am not a lesbian! I am straight! I will never say I haven’t fantasized or had sexually explicit dreams about women before! That would make me liar! I’ve been called a lesbian since I got into the entertainment business! You’re no one till someone calls you gay lol I’m so comfortable with myself, I’m not afraid to tell the story from all perspectives! I’ve done so from the very beginning! Ppl hear what they want to hear! I make you listen to what I feel!
Business Insider has a great piece on gay and lesbian-themed advertisements throughout the years. I never knew about this 1997 ad for Johnny Walker. Now I’m glad I’ve bought some for my dad as a Christmas gift in years past.
I’ll drink to that!
Out director Kimberly Peirce attended Comic-Con in New York to discuss her Carrie remake with stars Chloe Mortez and Julianne Moore. I’m so psyched to see it!
We finally get to see Portia de Rossi in action in this preview for Mockingbird Lane. Just a glimpse!
Stephen Colbert joked that he doesn’t ever pay attention to the news. “I come in around 6:30 and I just say the opposite of whatever Rachel Maddow says the night before, and I’m usually good.” Hilarious.
This is from the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode. Well shit. I hope it’s not Paige.
If you enjoyed The Slope, you’ll love F TO 7TH, Ingrid’s new project.
Lot’s of lovely ladies at the American Horror Story premiere in LA this weekend.
