How is it Friday already? I’m not complaining, it just feels crazy!
Did you watch Millionaire Matchmaker last night? I about died when I saw that out director/actor/writer Guinevere Turner was set up with The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Rosie Pierri. Rosie picked Guin out of a handful of carefully selected women for her choosing.

UK drama Mr. Selfridge has Frances O’Connor playing Rose, a woman who leaves her cheating husband (Jeremy Piven) for another woman named Delphine, which we all know means she’s sexy as hell. Delphine is played by Polly Walker. Mr. Selfridge (Piven) tries to win his wife back. Let’s hope that’s a no go. Season 2 premieres on ITV on January 6. American viewers will be able to watch when it comes to PBS later this year.
Blue is the Warmest Color director Abdellatif Kechiche dissed the very graphic novel his film came from in a new interview with Time Out Hong Kong. He said of the book:
“I found the comic was a bit counterproductive. It was specifically set as an LGBT book, with a specific idea of what reaction it wanted to spark. It kind of lost its effect that way. I want people who watch the film not to have in mind all the time that it’s about love between two girls but rather just love itself.”
They were two very different ways of presenting similar characters in a story, but I have to say I enjoyed them both.
Cosmo.com has “13 Things Not to Say to Your Lesbian Friend.” If any one of my “friends” ever said “But you’re so pretty!” to me, I’d be like “Girl, bye.”
