Morning Brew – Friday, March 2: Sasha Mallory dances in new Uh Huh Her video, Amy Smart cast in “Bad Girls” adaptation

It’s Friday! I’m so jazzed about going to see Fran Lebowitz in Seattle tonight, I don’t even mind my headache from last night’s good times. Here’s Fran in the Vanity Fair party booth with Francesco Clemente at the Oscars.

Amy Smart makes the Brew again today because she’s been cast in the U.S. adaptation of Bad Girls. Deadline reports she’ll play “the perfect blond Barbie doll from Orange County” serving time for stealing her friend’s credit card and running it up to the max.” Also cast is Karolina Wydra, who will play a “sultry inmate.” Apparently that’s her crime – being sultry.

Sara Rue has been cast in the new Reba McEntire/Lily Tomlin show Malibu Country. Does this mean we won’t see more of Brenda on Rules of Engagement? And what about that CW show she was working on about pretending to be a lesbian with her BFF to score an apartment? I might be OK with that one not coming to fruition.

So You Think You Can Dance‘s Sasha Mallory is at the center of Uh Huh Her‘s new video for “Wake to Sleep.” She’s dancing, of course!

Jane Lynch brought her family to the opening night of Monty Python’s Spamalot. How adorable is her daughter, Haden Collett Ryan-Embry?

Carrie Brownstein shared a “Popfession” and it has to do with wanting to look like Madonna. I never would have guessed.
