Good morning! I’m thrilled that it is Friday because it is Pride weekend here in Portland and I’m feeling proud.
Speaking of, I interviewed Vicci Martinez for our local rad PQ Monthly and she told me all about meeting The Voice‘s out finalist Michelle Chamuel and her huge crush on Shakira.
I got to meet Shakira and I can die happy. I’m glad she wasn’t on my season. I think it would have been bad for me because I would have been nervous the whole time. I have had a crush on her since I was 12. I would have always had a nervous tummy, and not because I was on TV – because I was around Shakira.
Tegan and Sara have been nominated for this year’s Polaris Prize. Congrats girls! You have some tough competition, but you got this.
Congrats are also in order to Nitza Quiñones Alejandro, who will be the first out lesbian Latina to be in federal judgeship. Werk!
