Morning Brew: Friday, Jan. 22

Morning all!

The Amazing Race has introduced its competing teams for the new season and couple Carol Rosenfeld and Brandy Snow are among them. They’ve only been dating five months, so this will definitely be interesting. Watch their intro interview on the CBS site and find out more about them, including that Brandy is bisexual and, according to Carol, “a biter.”

The Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association have awarded Jane Lynch their Dorian Award for Musical or Comedy TV Performance of the Year. Another big winner was Rachel Maddow for 2009′s top Savage Wit. Congrats, gay women! Way to be hilarious.

A new poll from LastBroadcast asked Skins fans to vote for their favorite character and Kathryn Prescott topped the list, followed closely by her on-screen girlfriend Lily Loveless, who won third place. In second was gay character Maxxie, played by Mitch Hewer.

Criterion Collection has released Chantal Akerman in the Seventies, a three-DVD set of the lesbian director’s best films, including Jeanne Dielman, Hotel Monterey and Je Tu Il Elle. The last one has a hot lesbian sex scene — does that pique your interest?

Rosie O’Donnell will be on The Oprah Show Monday, talking about her split from Kelli Carpenter, among other things. Today, People reports that Rosie will also announce that her new girlfriend is moving in with her — four kids and all.

Have a gay weekend!
