Morning Brew – Farrah Abraham is mad at Whitney & Sada

Good morning! You look amazing today. As part of the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association (GALECA), I’m happy to say our annual Dorian Awards will be celebrating Lily Tomlin with the Timeless Award. We’ve also nominated Blue is the Warmest Color, Orange is the New Black and Orphan Black and their stars for many of the categories. Gays have all the good taste, if I do say so myself. The winners will be announced Jan. 21. Speaking of Lily, Web Therapy has been renewed for a fourth season by Showtime, so we’ll likely see more of her as Lisa Kudrow’s mom next year. On last week’s episode of Couples Therapy, Whitney and Sada expressed their surprise at housemate Farrah Abraham writing both an erotic novel and a book for Christian moms. Apparently the Teen Mom star didn’t appreciate their comments, and tweeted this:

I bet you seriously does not even know their names. Like in her head, they are so insignificant to her and her universe of cray that she just sees them as “lesbian couple.” Who is the one that is limited? And in a bonus clip, Whitney and Sada (aka that lesbian couple) talk about wanting kids.

The CW is coming after Pretty Little Liars! Their new campaign for The Originals has taken on A and ABC Family, but A has responded thusly. Play nice kids. Jessica Chastain shared her favorite moments from the Golden Globes on her Facebook page and they include out producer Megan Ellison and LOLing with Cate Blanchett. Did you know that Clementine Ford was once Miss Golden Globe? She talked with Vulture about the experience, and how it led to her getting discovered by a casting director and us seeing her as Molly on The L Word. For some reason Trailer Addict has released several scenes from the 2007 movie After Sex, including Mila Kunis and Zoe Saldana discussing their casual sexual relationship. Enjoy!

Life is good for Jenna Lyons. Here’s a NY Mag article title this week: “How to Be Powerful, Likable, and Female: Learn From Jenna Lyons.” Obviously being gay, powerful and fashionable is all the rage.

A writer at The Spectator talks about meeting a young Jodie Foster at Yale. More specifically he calls her butt plump and is generally kind of a dick. Amy Adams sang “Defying Gravity” from Wicked at a Los Angeles gay bar. Could you love her more? Fortune Feimster talks about her hatred of Spain in This is Not Happening. She also swings on a stripper pole, which is something I never knew I needed to see.

Tonight’s episode Criminal Minds is all about Kirsten Vangsness’s Penelope Garcia, and it’s called “The Black Queen.” So cool.

Advice website everyoneisgay.com has put together a compilation album to help fund their Parents Project, and both Jenny Owens Young and Allison Weiss have contributed tracks. (Allison’s is called “Gay Gay Gay (Gay Gay Gay).” The Real World Ex-Plosion‘s Ari Fitz talked with SF Weekly and an interesting fact came out: People think Ari is transgender. From the piece:

“If people think I’m trans, it’s not an insult,” Fitz says, “but it’s important to understand what that actually means. Sometimes people don’t know how to describe me, so they use whatever word they’ve last seen on the Internet.” “When people label me as trans, I think they really just mean androgynous,” Fitz says. “It’s an issue of language and a problem in education.”

I love when other people decide what you are. They’re always right! (Never.)
