Ruby Rose has posed for FHM Australia, but it’s not as racy and un-feminist as you might suspect. She tells the men’s mag:
I think you’d be surprised at how many women actually read your magazine. When I was growing up … if I got my hands on an FHM, I was a happy little chap.
The issue will be available for purchase on Monday. Get it for the article!
Taylor Swift may have won Entertainment Weekly‘s Entertainer of the Year, but the mag has also delivered some alternate covers, like this one that I prefer.
Elsewhere in magazine land, Shay Mitchell gets all dolled up for OK magazine.
OK, I think there needs to be some sort of ban on straight men writing lists of the best lesbian sex scenes in film. The Daily Beast has theirs today, and, first of all, half their scenes aren’t even “sex” — they are just women kissing. Secondly, the rest are all predictable — except Higher Learning. I will give you exactly one thumb up for Higher Learning.
Black Swan hits theaters today, though, so you can go check out that lesbian sex scene and see where it fits into your own personal list of bests. Director Darren Aronofsky wants Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman to win Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards this year.
Portlandia has finally gotten a premiere date of January 21 from IFC. The comedy series stars out musician/actress Carrie Brownstein and SNL castmember Fred Armisen who also do the web series Thunderant. Check out the trailer for the new show:
Not exactly how I pictured Carrie “in bed,” but funny nonetheless.
The Beaver, Jodie Foster‘s new movie with Mel Gibson, will come to theaters this spring.
Jodie only has eyes for that beaver.
Today on TV: The Ellen DeGeneres Show (check local listings), a lesbian-themed Still Standing (ABC Family 12:30 p.m.), The Talk (CBS 2 p.m.), A Family Is a Family Is a Family (HBO Family 4:15 p.m.) and The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC 9 p.m.) (Thanks Roni!)
Don’t miss the season finale of Boardwalk Empire on Sunday. What will Angela do now that Mary seems to have skipped town?
Have an awesome weekend.
