Good morning, Brewbies!
I don’t know about you, but I spent the whole weekend with my eyeballs glued open so I didn’t miss a single second of the Olympics. In addition to that lesbian kiss from Brookside in the opening ceremony, lots of lesbian athletes have been making their mark on London already.
Lisa Dahlkvist, Hedvig Lindahl, and Jessica Lindstrom — the three gay ladies from Sweden’s soccer team — beat South Africa 4-1, and tied with Japan 0-0.

Megan Rapinoe and the US women’s soccer team won 4-2 against France and 3-0 against Colombia.

Denmark’s Rikke Skov scored six goals in a 21-18 handball victory over Sweden.

Also in handball, Brazil’s Mayssa Pessoa was part of her team’s 24-23 win over Croatia. And France’s Alexandra Lacrabère scored three goals as her team defeated Norway.

Natalie Cook is a lesbian beach volleyball player from Australia, and she and her volleyball partner, Tamsin Hinchley, lost to two-time gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.

Team USA’s Seimone Augustus had a strong showing as the women’s basketball team defeated Croatia 81-56.

Two lesbian cyclists — Judith Arndt and Ina-Yoko Teutenberg, both from Germany — competed in the road race yesterday. Teutenberg missed the bronze medal by just 27 seconds. Arndt placed 37th.

And four openly gay field hockey players from the Netherlands — Maartje Paumen, Marilyn Agliotti, Kim Lammers, and Carlien Dirkse van den Heuvel — led their team to a 3-0 victory against Belgium.

Did I miss any les/bi athletes that have competed so far? Let me know!
Have you heard the word that Lindsay Lohan wants to remake Thelma & Louise with Jennifer Lawrence?
Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games” is genius. I want to do Thelma&Louise w/her but ala Natural Born Killers (style wise) 2 girls-2 guys

Love you, LiLo, but I’m pretty sure JLawrence is all tied up with Catching Fire and Mockingjay and Whatever Other Movie She Wants To Make until her trophy cases are absolutely full of Oscars and Golden Globes. But don’t give up on your dreams of making Thelma & Louise & Two Random Dudes!
Every lesbian’s favorite Evil Queen Lana Parilla is all set to attend Cleveland’s Human Rights Campaign gala. The event will be held on August 25th at The Wolstein Center. For information about tickets (which are still available!) check out HRC’s official website.
