Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend.
The best news ever to start today with: The President of the United States has signed an executive order prohibiting employees to discriminate against anyone for identifying as LGBT. It’s a landmark day and one to celebrate. Thank you, President Obama, and to those in our community who never stop fighting for and demanding equality.
I attended the Television Critics Association Awards where some of the winners were also some of our faves, including The Fosters for Outstanding Youth Programming and Orange is the New Black for Outstanding New Program.
Ruby Rose and fiancee Phoebe Dahl are launching a new clothing line together, which they premiered at San Diego Pride over the weekend.
Linda Perry was a guest on 95.5 KLOS with Heidi and Frank.
Tori Amos covered Mary Lambert‘s “She Keeps Me Warm” during a recent show. Like a boss! Mary seems pretty thrilled about it.
Did @toriamos really sing my hook in Seattle tonight?? I’M FLYING HOME IN HOURS!! TORI YOU ARE A GODDESS AND YOUR MUSIC CHANGED MY LIFE. AHH

Out chef and author Gabrielle Hamilton has a new cookbook coming out from her NYC restaurant Prune.
Vice proclaimed St. Vincent the best band in the world. Her performance at Pitchfork in Chicago over the weekend has received a collective thumbs up from critics and fans.

I am loving these high school yearbook photos of Heather Mattarazzo and Kate McKinnon.
Angela Robinson talks about the new season of True Blood on the EJ Podcast.
The cast of Transparent held a screening and panel at Outfest on Saturday. Apparently someone pissed off Gaby Hoffman!
Gaby Hoffman also won an Outfest award for Best Actress for her work in Lyle, while Desiree Akhavan took home Best Screenplay at the Outfest Awards. Other winners of interest include director Cheryl Furjanic for her Best Documentary Feature Back on Board: Greg Louganis and Quin Marcus‘s short Alone with People for the Audience Award – Dramatic Best Short. Congrats to the winners!
