Lindsay Lohan talks tabloids and her ideal career move

For the 10th anniversary issue, the editors of Nylon magazine wanted to go all out. The cover story had to be someone amazing, someone in really high demand – or someone who’s constantly on the cover of the tabloids. So, they decided on always-an-It-girl (and 2007 Hollywood issue cover model) Lindsay Lohan.

While there’s not much released of the interview yet, there are plenty of photos to make her inclusion cover-worthy, and prove that she can certainly model, so maybe the lack of film roles isn’t much of a problem, after all.

“I love doing photo shoots,” she told the magazine. “I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I’d do that because that’s fun for me. That’s not work.”

I don’t think many people would complain, either. Although, she apparently is in talks with some people, including Sean Penn, trying to get some film projects rolling. But there is someone who must think he’s too good to work with Lohan.

“We’re trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won’t call us back,” she said. “So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!”

When asked about her transformation into a tabloid sensation, Lindsay is as candid as she is on her infamous MySpace blogs:

There’s not much I can do about the fact that I’ve become a kind of tabloid obsession. I can’t change that. And yes, the websites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hurt my career – they’re like the Burn Books of Hollywood… but I really don’t feel like I should have to prove myself to anyone because of living out my college years in the public eye. I’m glad everything happened the way it did.

Do you think Lindsay’s public persona has hurt her acting career? Do you think she should stick with modeling? It’s what she seems to be doing most these days.
