Watch now! Adorable grandma writes a song about marriage equality

How’s your heart this morning? Not yet overflowing with love and wonder as your marvel at the goodness of humanity? Let me fix that for you. Allow me to introduce Sherri Gray, a 72-year-old lady whose lesbian niece just got engaged to her girlfriend. Grandma Gray could have gotten them any old thing off their bridal registry, but instead she composed a song for them about marriage equality. They said, quite rightly, that it was the best wedding gift ever. Grandma Gray is even going to perform it at their reception.

BuzzFeed has the scoop on an interview she did GayStar news, in which she said she’s not really an activist, but that she “gets goddamn mad by narrow-mindedness and prejudice and crazy stuff.”

Grandma Gray, you’re the greatest!
