It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so I know none of you are seriously focusing on your “work” right now. I don’t want to burden your pre-holiday brain with too much serious cultural criticism, so instead, here are some pics from last night’s American Music Awards to entertain you while you count the minutes until you can sneak out of the office early.
First up: The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, whose greatest hits album, Reflections – A Retrospective, arrives on Dec. 12, and Joan Jett’s video vixen, the ever lesbian-friendly Carmen Electra. Next: The newly single Britney Spears, who I must admit looks pretty damn hot now that her nether regions are tastefully covered, and the “oops, I’m not really bisexual” Nelly Furtado. Watch out, Nelly: Your bangs look like they’re about to poke your eyes out. Then we have the Pussycat Dolls, who performed at Dinah Shore last year and will soon be launching their Search for the Next Pussycat Doll on The CW. The show comes from the producers of America’s Next Top Model, so I’m keeping my eyes peeled for precocious young lesbian PCD wannabes. And last but not least, the comedian we all wish was a lesbian, Sarah Silverman, who had the balls to wear pants:
