“Lost Girl” Rewind Mini-Cap (4.02): Sleeping Beauty School

Rewind is a weekly mini-recap following the Syfy broadcast of “Lost Girl.” Read the full episode recap here.

Just when we think we’ve all forgotten her for good. Just when we’d scrubbed out memories and all that was left was the beautiful ache. Just when we had finally moved on. BAM. We all remember. We all remember and we all can’t believe we ever forgot. Yes, dammit, Jenny Schecter is back.

OK, fine, so really Bo is really the one back—in everyone’s minds. Well, more accurately, everyone wants Bo back. But she’s on some train and they’re, well, not. Also back is Tamsin, or a tiny version of Tam-Tam. Dyson find the baby Valkyrie back for another life at their crash site. I’ve heard of May-December, but this age difference puts a major damper on Valkubus.

To find Bo Dyson and Hale go searching for a tracker, a misogynistic weirdo with a taste for mutton who spent the last few centuries playing sleeping beauty in a beauty parlor. But Cleo (that’s Jenny to you and every other lesbian) takes over the tracking and promises to get Dyson on Bo’s Death Train.

Hale does his own tracking—of his heart. And he finally confesses his love to Kenzi. I know I’m supposed to be rooting for Kale, but it’s just not working for me. Maybe it’s because I just watched the Lifetime remake of Flowers in the Attic, but it feels, um, wrong.

Meanwhile, in a diner whose Yelp reviews probably read, “The best place to find heaping plates of lesbian fandom crossovers,” Lauren is slinging hash for a living. But she’s “Amber” now and pretty bad at it. But that doesn’t seem to phase her fellow waitress Crystal, who also happens to be Betty McRae. She’s flirting with Lauren because Lost Girl is in the business of making all our dreams come true.

Also, I know we haven’t talked about it. But don’t worry. While it’s hard to keep the faith at a time like this, know you are not alone. Together we can get through this.

Now that we’ve discussed the important stuff there were also the little business of the new sheriffs in town, the Una Mens who enjoy wearing matching monochromatic outfits and torturing rule-breaking Fae—including Vex. He in turn offers up Bo, and hires elemental turned tracker Fae Cleo to bring her to them. A double-crossing Schecter? So unexpected.
