How are your minds this Monday morning? Not blown? Well, let me help: Over the weekend, my buddies Rin and Sophy of RophyDoes.com — the greatest recapping site on the internet! — broke the news that Lily Loveless and Kathryn Prescott will be reuniting for Ana Marie Ramos‘ film Triptych.
No, it’s OK — run around in circles with your hands over your head while you squeal with delight. I’ll wait.
Here’s what I know about Triptych so far: It’s set to begin filming in early 2012, and “Lily will play Ana, the fulcrum on which the plot hinges. Kat will play Kate, a New Yorker who carries the central portion of the film.”
In her interview with RophyDoes.com, Ramos said about Loveless:
I considered 14 other actresses for the role of Ana, two of them Oscar nominees, but there wasn’t any single actor who had everything it took to incarnate Ana. Indeed, Lily beat out a couple of Oscar contenders for the role and deservedly so.
And about Kat:
As with Lily, Kat exceeded my expectations. Far exceeded them, in fact. She came fully prepared with extensive character notes and delivered a convincing American accent (she plays a character who was born in Prague but grew up in New York City). The scenes that she auditioned for were varied and challenging, and she rose to the occasion.
That’s only a snippit of the good stuff; you should really click through and read the whole interview.
Now, for some art education. A triptych is a three paneled painting. So, if I were to, say, triptych Lily Loveless and Kat Prescott, it might look a little something like this:
Alas, their characters aren’t together on Triptych. (But that doesn’t mean I’m not still holding out hope for a feature film called Three More Hours of Naomily.)
Are you excited for the news that Loveless and Prescott are reuniting?
