Dear poster makers of the world, I have a bone to pick with you. Never, ever do this to Lena Headey‘s head again. The new poster for Lena’s upcoming thriller, The Broken is, um, shattering. Actually, the poster is pretty cool. It’s just the unsettling thought of Lena’s cracked head that gives me pause. But then I guess that’s the point. And just in case the one-sheet wasn’t getting the message across, the international trailer amps up the fright factor.
Based on that, the only thing I know for sure is that Lena should have her ceiling looked at. In the film she plays a radiologist who, one day while in the car, sees her doppelgänger driving past her. From there, she tries to unravel the mystery, which involves mirrors, blood dripping from ceilings and a nasty gash on her head. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and will be shown as part of the 8 Films to Die For: After Dark Horrorfest III next month. So, does Lena’s cracked noggin make you want to see the movie? I’d prefer that she was an an adorable lesbian florist who kicks ass in “Dance Dance Revolution,” but I’ll take that bathtub scene as a consolation prize.
