Morning Brew – Julianne Moore to star in “Freeheld” with Ellen Page

Good morning! Happy Valentine’s Day!

After years of waiting to see if the lesbian feature Freeheld would ever get made, Julianne Moore has been cast in the role opposite Ellen Page and things seem to be coming together! Based on the Oscar-winning documentary, the adaptation will follow the story of Laurel Hester and Stacee Andree. Laurel (Julianne Moore) was a New Jersey police detective who fought for her partner (ELlen Page) to receive her pension benefits after she passed on. I approve of this casting and cannot wait for them to start shooting.
