Your intrepid AfterEllen.com bloggers will be otherwise occupied on Monday, May 28, celebrating Memorial Day in one way or another. You know: Barbecuing, soaking up the sun and counting votes for the list of hotties (grumble). We’ll be back Tuesday, with all the pop culture news that’s fit to print (or, rather, that small subset that strikes our fancy).
If you find yourself at a loss this weekend, here are some ways to while away the three days:
1. Call Sarah Silverman at 1-877-SARAH07. Just don’t dial it wrong.
2. Make some Dharma labels for your picnic foodstuffs.
3. Try to track down a copy of the Peanuts Memorial Day special, What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown? (Does anyone remember this?!)
4. Do a Memorial Day word search or logic puzzle.
And in honor of all that is patriotic, here’s a game that’s guaranteed to waste several hours and brain cells: Name the 50 states in 10 minutes. Good luck: It’s harder than it sounds.
