This week, Saturday Night Live toyed with blasphemy when they included a bit about Angelina Jolie‘s hunger for babies on “Weekend Update.” In the sketch, anchor Seth Meyers is reporting on the birth of octuplets to a woman in California when Angelina Jolie (played by SNL newcomer Abby Elliott) slinks onto the set and seductively asks about procuring said newborns.
When that doesn’t work, she asks about former “Update” anchor Amy Poehler‘s new spawn. You can watch the sketch below: With her uncanny ability to impersonate Jolie, maybe Elliott would be the perfect choice to play Lara Croft in the resurrection of the Tomb Raider franchise.
In the absence of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Elliott could take the mantle as every lesbian’s favorite woman on SNL. After all, she did a respectable Rachel Maddow impression a few weeks back.
